Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of trackdomains (the "Service"), a free tool for looking up and monitoring the registration data of public domain names. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The service

trackdomains lets anyone look up the public registration data of a domain — registrar, expiry date, nameservers, status codes, and DNSSEC — and, with a free account, monitor domains and receive email alerts before they expire or when their registration data changes. The Service reads only information that registries publish through standard WHOIS and RDAP queries. It does not attempt to access private systems, bypass security controls, or read any non-public data.

2. Accounts

• You may create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• Free accounts may monitor up to 100 domains. We may introduce paid plans with higher limits in the future.
• You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to scan, probe, or monitor domains or infrastructure for which you have no legitimate interest or authorization.
• Attempt to overload, disrupt, or circumvent rate limits, or use automated means to abuse the Service.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate any unlawful activity.
• Resell, scrape, or redistribute the Service or its data without our permission.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or block access that we reasonably believe violates these Terms.

4. Accuracy and no warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Lookups and expiry alerts are provided on a best-effort basis and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate due to registry behavior, network conditions, caching, or factors outside our control. You should not rely on trackdomains as your only safeguard against domain expiry or unwanted changes. Always confirm critical domains directly with your registrar.

5. Public results

Domains looked up through the public tool may appear on public areas of the Service, such as the "Recently looked up" list. These areas show only public registration data — never your account details. You can hide a domain from these public areas using the "Don't show on public boards" option on its lookup page. 6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, trackdomains and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any loss resulting from an expired, transferred, or misconfigured domain. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed USD 100.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is free, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice. We may also update features, limits, and these Terms as the Service evolves.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms. Upon account deletion, your account data and monitored domains are removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
